In short
- You own your trips, photos and notes. We only get the permission we need to store, sync and show them to you and the people you share with.
- TripMemo is a bookmarking and journaling tool. Posts you save from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or the web stay the property of their creators and platforms. We never download or redistribute their video.
- AI itineraries and extracted places are suggestions. Check details before you rely on them.
- Anyone with a TripBook share link can view that trip until you turn the link off.
- TripMemo Pro renews automatically through the App Store until you cancel. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
- We are not affiliated with Meta, Instagram, TikTok, ByteDance, Google or YouTube.
This summary is for convenience. The full text below is what applies.
01Who we are and how these terms apply
TripMemo is provided by TripMemo LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16738352 (“TripMemo”, “we”, “us”). Contact us at support@tripmemo.app.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use TripMemo. If you use TripMemo on behalf of a business or group, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for them.
02Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age for online services where you live if that is higher, to use TripMemo.
- You sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for keeping that sign-in secure and for everything that happens under your account.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. Do not impersonate anyone or create accounts for other people without permission.
- Tell us promptly at support@tripmemo.app if you think your account has been accessed without permission.
03Your content
“Your content” means the photos, videos, notes, captions, trips, bookmarks, plans, profile details and anything else you add to TripMemo.
- You own it. TripMemo does not claim ownership of your content.
- Licence to us. So that TripMemo can work, you give TripMemo LTD a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, resize, process, transmit and display your content, and to create derived versions such as thumbnails, maps, statistics and AI summaries, solely to provide, secure and improve the service for you and the people you share with. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups that expire within 30 days and content that collaborators have kept in a shared trip.
- Your responsibility. You confirm that you have the rights to everything you add, that it does not infringe anyone’s rights or break any law, and that you have the consent of people who appear in your photos where consent is required.
- Collaboration. When you add content to a shared trip, the trip owner and other members can see and, depending on their role, edit it. If you leave a trip, your contributions remain in it so the other members’ TripBook is not broken. Your profile is no longer attached to them.
04Saving posts and links from other apps
TripMemo lets you share an Instagram post, TikTok, YouTube video, article or web page to TripMemo so you can keep it, read a summary, and see the places it mentions on your map. TripMemo is a bookmarking and organisation tool. It is not a download tool and it does not give you any rights in other people’s content.
- Creators keep their rights. All copyright, trademarks and other rights in a saved post remain with its creator and the platform it was published on. Saving a post in TripMemo does not transfer or license those rights to you or to us.
- What TripMemo keeps. The link, a caption or page text, a small preview image and the places we extract. TripMemo never extracts, downloads, caches or re-hosts video from Instagram, TikTok or YouTube. Playback inside TripMemo uses the platform’s own official embedded player and is subject to that platform’s terms.
- Your use. You may save posts for your own personal, non-commercial travel planning and journaling. You must not use TripMemo to re-upload, redistribute, sell, scrape or bulk-collect other people’s content, to remove attribution, or to get around a platform’s restrictions.
- Public links only. Only share links to content that is publicly accessible and that you are allowed to share. Do not share links to private, age-restricted or unlawful content.
- Platforms change. These features depend on the third-party platforms continuing to make public pages and embedded players available. If a platform changes or withdraws them, some or all of this feature may stop working. We may change or remove it at any time and are not liable for lost access to saved links.
- Removal. We may remove a saved post or its preview if the creator or platform asks us to, or if it breaks these terms.
05AI features
TripMemo uses AI to build itineraries, organise trips, recommend destinations and find the places mentioned in a saved post.
- AI output is generated automatically and can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. It is not travel, safety, legal, medical or financial advice. Confirm opening hours, prices, bookings, visas, safety information and locations with the relevant source before you rely on them.
- You are responsible for how you use AI output. We are not liable for decisions you make based on it.
- Do not use AI features to generate unlawful, harmful or infringing material, or to try to extract our prompts or models.
- How your inputs are processed is explained in our Privacy Policy.
07Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use TripMemo for anything unlawful.
- Upload or share content that is abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or that infringes anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
- Access TripMemo, or content available through it, using bots, scrapers, crawlers or other automated means, or attempt to bulk-download content from TripMemo or from third-party platforms through TripMemo.
- Interfere with, overload, reverse engineer or attempt to bypass the security of TripMemo or its share links.
- Share malware, spam, or misleading links.
- Use TripMemo to collect personal data about other people without their consent.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. To report content, email support@tripmemo.app with the link and a description.
08Copyright complaints and takedown
We respect intellectual property and expect users to do the same. If you believe content in a shared TripBook, a saved bookmark or elsewhere on TripMemo infringes your copyright, email support@tripmemo.app with the subject “Copyright complaint” and include:
- the link to, or a description of, the content in question;
- a description of the work you say is infringed;
- your name, email address and, if acting for someone else, your authority;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and that the information you provide is accurate.
We will review complaints promptly, remove or disable content where appropriate, and may notify the user who added it. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
09Subscriptions and billing
TripMemo Pro is an optional paid subscription sold through the app store on your device. Billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by that store.
Apple App Store
- TripMemo Pro is an auto-renewable subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings under your name, then Subscriptions.
- If a free trial is offered, its length is shown before you start it. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts to the paid subscription. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Prices may vary by region and are shown in the app before purchase. We may change prices; Apple will notify you and ask you to agree before a higher price applies.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies. To request one, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Google Play
- Where TripMemo is available on Android, TripMemo Pro is an auto-renewing subscription charged to your Google Play account when your purchase is confirmed, renewing until you cancel it in Google Play under Payments and subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play under its policies. See Google Play refund guidance.
We do not have access to your payment details. If your subscription lapses you keep access to your trips, and some features may become read-only until you subscribe again.
10Changes to the service and availability
We work hard to keep TripMemo reliable, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may add, change or remove features, and we will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what you have paid for. Keep your own copies of photos that matter to you; TripMemo is not a substitute for a backup.
11Ending your account
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, or by following the steps on our account deletion page. Deletion is permanent and completes within 30 days.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms, create legal or security risk, or if we discontinue TripMemo. Where reasonable we will warn you first and give you the chance to export your data.
- Sections that by their nature should survive, including your content licence for retained shared content, disclaimers, liability limits and governing law, continue after termination.
12Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, TripMemo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Travel information, maps, statistics, AI output and third-party content may be inaccurate. Third-party platforms, links and embedded players are outside our control, and we are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
13Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
Subject to that, TripMemo LTD is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data that you could reasonably have backed up, or losses caused by third-party platforms, and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, or £50 if you paid nothing.
14Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you live elsewhere you may also rely on mandatory consumer protections and courts of your own country. EU residents can also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.
15Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect, unless the change is required by law or to address a security risk. Continuing to use TripMemo after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, delete your account before then.
