TripMemo Editorial Policy

This policy explains who is responsible for TripMemo’s published content, how we use experience and research, and how we handle updates and corrections.

Named authors and responsibility

TripMemo articles identify the person or team responsible for the work. Individual bylines link to a consistent profile containing the author’s role, areas of responsibility and published articles. When content is published by the TripMemo Team, that byline links to our About page.

First-hand experience

We prioritise direct travel experience and original photography where they are available. We do not present researched information as personal experience, and we avoid unsupported claims about places, products or services.

Research and sources

Practical travel information is checked against reliable sources. We prefer official and primary sources for entry requirements, transport, opening information and other details that can change. Where our tools rely on external datasets, we identify those sources on our Sources pages.

Specialist review

Photography, editorial and technology topics are assigned to or reviewed by team members whose TripMemo responsibilities cover those subjects. Author profiles explain that responsibility without adding unsupported credentials or experience claims.

Updates and corrections

We review time-sensitive content when material details change and correct substantive errors when they are identified. Readers can report a possible error by contacting support@tripmemo.app with the page URL and the detail that needs review.

Purpose

Our editorial work exists to help travellers make informed decisions, document trips and preserve their memories. Content should be useful to a reader even when they never download TripMemo.
