What is TripMemo?
TripMemo is a collaborative travel journal app that turns your trips into living books. Each day becomes a page, every place is pinned on a map, and you can share the story with friends and family. It's designed for real travelers—works offline, private by default, and beautiful to revisit.
How is TripMemo different from a photo album?
TripMemo is a day-by-day story with captions, a map of pins showing where you went, collaboration with friends, and fun touches like levels and achievements. It's not just photos—it's a complete trip story you can flip through like a book.
What platforms is TripMemo available on?
TripMemo is available on both iOS and Android. Download it from the App Store or Google Play Store to get started.
Is TripMemo free to use?
TripMemo is free to try. You can create trip books, add photos, and collaborate with friends. We offer premium features for those who want more, but the core experience is free.
How long does it take to create my first book?
Minutes. Create a trip, drop in a handful of photos, add quick captions—you'll have a flip-through book before your coffee cools. It's designed to be fast and effortless.
Privacy & Security
4 questions
Is TripMemo private?
Yes. Books are private by default. You choose who can view or contribute. You can revoke links or remove people anytime. We don't sell your data or show ads.
Where are my photos stored?
Your photos are stored securely in the cloud so you can access them from any device. We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data. Your original photos remain untouched on your phone.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You have full control over your data. You can delete individual trip books, photos, or your entire account at any time. When you delete something, it's permanently removed from our servers.
Do you sell my data or show ads?
Never. We don't sell your data, we don't mine your photos for AI training, and we don't show ads. Your memories are yours—we're just here to help you preserve them.
Features & Usage
6 questions
Do I have to move all my photos to TripMemo?
No. Pick the photos you want straight from your camera roll. We don't touch your originals—they stay exactly where they are on your phone.
Can I start a trip book now and finish later?
Yes. Everything saves automatically. Add a page whenever you have a minute. There's no pressure to finish in one sitting.
What about old trips?
TripMemo is great for catching up. Import past photos, write a few notes, and you've got a finished book you'll actually revisit. Many users create books for trips from years ago.
Is it hard to learn?
No. It's tap, drag, type. If you can post a photo, you can make a TripMemo. We designed it to be intuitive and frustration-free.
Will TripMemo eat my phone storage?
No. We optimize uploads so they don't take up much space. Your original high-quality photos remain on your phone untouched.
Can I add notes and captions?
Absolutely. Each photo can have captions, and each day can have notes. Write as much or as little as you want—it's your story.
Offline Mode
3 questions
Does TripMemo work offline?
Yes. You can add photos, write captions, and create pages offline. Everything syncs automatically when you're back online. Perfect for remote destinations without internet.
What features work offline?
You can add photos, write captions, create new pages, and browse your existing trip books offline. Collaboration features require an internet connection to sync with others.
Will I lose my work if I go offline?
Never. Everything you do offline is saved locally on your device. When you reconnect, it syncs automatically. No work is ever lost.
Collaboration
4 questions
How can my friends collaborate on a trip book?
Send an invite link. Give them Viewer or Contributor access. You stay the owner and can remove access anytime. Contributors can add photos and captions; Viewers can only look.
Can friends edit my book?
Only if you invite them as Contributors. Viewers can't change anything. You remain the owner and can remove access anytime. You have full control.
How many people can collaborate on one book?
You can invite as many people as you want. Perfect for group trips, family vacations, or couples traveling together. Everyone can add their perspective to the shared story.
Can I see who added what?
Yes. Each contribution shows who added it, so you know whose photos and captions are whose. It's a collaborative story with clear attribution.
Maps & Pins
3 questions
How does the map feature work?
Each trip has its own map. When you add photos, you can pin them to locations. The map shows everywhere you've been, creating a visual journey of your trip.
Do I have to manually pin every photo?
No. If your photos have location data (most do), TripMemo can automatically suggest pins. You can always adjust or add pins manually.
Can I see all my trips on one map?
Yes. TripMemo has a world map that shows pins from all your trips. It's a beautiful way to see everywhere you've traveled.
