Standard Polaroid dimensions
Why a Polaroidisn’t simply square.
The image inside classic i-Type, 600 and SX-70 film is almost square. The full print is portrait-shaped because the bottom border is deeper than the top and side borders. That lower margin is what gives a Polaroid room for a date or handwritten caption.

02What aspect ratio is a Polaroid photo?
The classic Polaroid image area is almost square at about 0.97:1, but the complete print is taller because of the wide caption border at the bottom.
03How many pixels should a Polaroid image be?
For printing a classic Polaroid-size frame at 300 DPI, use roughly 1,045 × 1,270 pixels for the full print. More pixels are fine; avoid enlarging a very small image.
04Is Instax Mini the same size as a Polaroid?
No. Instax Mini is narrower and more portrait-shaped at 54 × 86 mm. Classic Polaroid film is larger and has an almost-square image area.
