Bondi to Coogee on Tired Legs
Bondi to Coogee Walk, Sydney
Six kilometers of cliffs, coves, and views that made me forget my legs were burning. Started at Bondi as the surfers paddled out. By Tamarama, I was stopping every hundred meters to photograph another impossible view. Bronte had a rock pool that looked like a swimming hole from a dream. By the time I reached Coogee, I was sunburnt, salt-crusted, and completely converted to the Australian way of living. How did I not know this was here? A world-class coastal walk, completely free, in the middle of a major city. Every city should have this.

The Flat White That Ruined Me
Single O, Surry Hills
I thought I knew coffee. I was wrong. The barista asked where I was from. When I said the US, he looked at me with a mix of pity and determination. "Let me make you a proper flat white," he said. What arrived was velvet. Perfect temperature—not too hot, so you could taste everything. Rich but not overwhelming. I sat at the window watching Surry Hills wake up and ordered a second. Now I'm home and every coffee tastes like disappointment. Sydney broke me.
