Make a photo book of your Las Vegas trip
- 4 illustrated covers drawn for Las Vegas
- Hardcover, softcover or layflat, in three sizes
- Made on the web or in the app, printed when you order
A Las Vegas trip is short on hours and long on photos. The queue for the welcome sign at the south end of the Strip, the Bellagio fountains rising to music, a pool day that ran into a show, the canopy of lights over Fremont Street at one in the morning. Then there is the day you drove out to the red rock or the dam and remembered there was a desert all along. On a phone it all blurs together. In a book it reads like the weekend it was.
The Las Vegas covers are drawn for the city's own symbols: the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign with a pair of red dice, a slot machine lined up on three sevens, a hand of aces with a casino chip, and two red dice on their own in aqua or lilac. Pick the one that sounds like your trip, whether that was a birthday, a hen or stag weekend, a wedding in a chapel or a stopover on a bigger road trip through the West.

Where in Las Vegas?
The cities, coasts and corners the Las Vegas covers are drawn for. Pick the place your trip was about, or keep the whole country on the front.

The Strip
Most Vegas photos are taken along a few miles of Las Vegas Boulevard. The welcome sign sits on the median near Mandalay Bay, with its own small car park and a queue at sunset. Heading north there is the replica skyline of New York-New York, the Eiffel Tower at Paris across from the Bellagio fountains, the Roman columns of Caesars Palace, the High Roller wheel behind the LINQ and the gondolas inside the Venetian, with the glowing Sphere just behind it.
The welcome sign cover belongs to this chapter more than any other, and the slot machine and the aces fit the evenings spent inside the casinos.

Downtown and Fremont Street
Downtown is older Vegas: the Golden Nugget, the zip line running under the lit canopy of the Fremont Street Experience, and the retired signs of the Neon Museum's boneyard, which is best seen on an evening tour when some of them are lit again. The aces and the dice covers suit this side of the city, where the tables feel closer to the old days.

Days out from Las Vegas
The desert starts at the edge of town. Red Rock Canyon's scenic drive is about half an hour west of the Strip, the Hoover Dam is about forty minutes south-east, and the red sandstone of Valley of Fire State Park is around an hour north-east. Many visitors give a whole day to the Grand Canyon, by coach, by car or by helicopter.
There is no cover drawn for the desert days, but a Las Vegas cover keeps the whole trip together, and a photo cover style can put your own picture of the canyon or the dam on the front instead.
Las Vegas photo book ideas
Most Las Vegas trips run on a city-break rhythm: late mornings by the pool, the Strip by night, one evening downtown and one day out in the desert. Here is how to shape that into chapters.
Build it chapter by chapter
Follow the route you took and let each stop be its own chapter. Turn on day pages and every day opens with a page you can title, so the book reads in the order you lived it.
Arrival and the welcome sign
The Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign at golden hour or after dark when the bulbs come on, and the first view of the Strip from your hotel room window.
The Strip by day
The pool scene at your hotel, the gondolas and painted ceilings inside the Venetian, the flower displays in the Bellagio Conservatory, and the view from the Eiffel Tower at Paris.
The Strip by night
The Bellagio fountains from the lakeside pavement, the Strip from a pod on the High Roller, the Sphere lit up behind the Venetian, and your table at a show or a steakhouse.
Downtown and Fremont Street
The canopy of lights over Fremont Street, the zip line flying under it, the Golden Nugget, and the old casino signs at the Neon Museum on an evening tour.
Into the desert
Red sandstone along the Red Rock Canyon scenic drive, the curved concrete of the Hoover Dam from the bridge above it, and the striped rock of Valley of Fire.
The Grand Canyon
The canyon from the rim on a long day out, or from the air if you flew, with the Colorado River far below.
The little things
The landmarks take care of themselves. These are the photos you’ll be glad you took.

- A stack of chips on the felt
- The show ticket or wristband
- A giant cocktail cup on the Strip
- The wedding chapel sign

Add your photos
They’re laid out for you, page by page. The TripMemo app also sorts your trip by day and place. Then move, crop and caption anything.

Make it yours
A Vegas book is mostly nights, so let the day pages do the work: each one opens the next day, which keeps the show, the pool and the long dinner in the order they happened even when the photos were taken at two in the morning. Captions are where the names of the cocktail bar, the steakhouse and the slot machine that paid out belong, and a note can hold the story behind the wedding chapel photo.
If the trip was a celebration, change the title: a name and a birthday, the couple's names over the welcome sign, or the group's in-joke on the dice cover. The year sits under the title and the title runs down the spine, so it finds its place on the shelf next to the rest of your trips.
Hardcover, softcover or layflat

Las Vegas photo book questions
Which cover suits a Las Vegas wedding or vow renewal?
The welcome sign cover is the one most couples choose, because it is where so many Vegas wedding photos are taken. Change the title to your names, keep the year underneath, and put the chapel and the dinner after it in the book.
Is there a cover for a birthday, hen or stag weekend?
The red dice, on aqua or on lilac, are the most playful of the Las Vegas covers, and the slot machine with its jackpot panel suits a group trip. Any of them can be retitled with the birthday or the group's name.
Can I include the Grand Canyon or the Hoover Dam in a Las Vegas book?
Yes. Day pages open each day, so a desert day out reads as its own chapter between the nights on the Strip. If the canyon was the highlight, a photo cover style puts your own picture of it on the front.
Vegas was one stop on a longer road trip. Which cover should I use?
If the book covers Arizona, Utah or California as well, you can keep a Las Vegas cover and retitle it, or use one of the USA covers drawn for the wider West. A route map at the front of the book shows the whole loop.
Can I make my Las Vegas photo book on my phone?
Yes. Make it in the TripMemo app on iPhone, which sorts your trip photos by day and place, or on the web at tripmemo.app.
Can I put my own photo of the Strip on the cover?
Yes. The drawn covers are one option; photo cover styles such as Image, Poster and Editorial put a picture of your own on the front, so the Strip at night or the group at the welcome sign can be the cover.
How much does a Las Vegas photo book cost?
A Las Vegas photo book starts at £26.49 for a softcover, £28.49 for a hardcover and £41.99 for a layflat, before delivery. The price grows with the pages you add, and you see the exact total, with delivery to your address, before you pay. UK orders usually arrive in 5 to 8 working days, and we ship worldwide.
How many photos do I need for a Las Vegas photo book?
A short break usually gives 60 to 120 photos worth printing, which fill 24 to 40 pages. A week gives 150 to 250 photos for 40 to 80 pages, and two weeks or more 250 to 400 photos for 80 to 150 pages. Your photos are laid out for you, two to a page by default, and you can change it to one to four.
