Make a photo book of your Italy trip
- 30 illustrated covers drawn for Italy
- 12 places on the covers
- Hardcover, softcover or layflat, in three sizes
- Made on the web or in the app, printed when you order
Most Italy trips are several trips at once. A week can start under the Colosseum, take the train to Florence, stop for an afternoon in Pisa and finish on a ferry along the Amalfi Coast. Your camera roll ends up as a jumble of ruins, plates of pasta, church ceilings and sea. A photo book puts it back in the order you lived it.
Choose a cover drawn for the place that defined the holiday: the Colosseum, Milan's Duomo, a villa on Lake Como, a Sicilian majolica vase full of lemons. Or keep it to Italy as a whole with a moka pot, a scooter or a cone of gelato. Then fill the pages with your own pictures, day by day, on the web studio or in the TripMemo app.

Where in Italy?
The cities, coasts and corners the Italy covers are drawn for. Pick the place your trip was about, or keep the whole country on the front.

Rome

Rome gives you the Forum at golden hour, the queue for the Vatican, a cacio e pepe in Trastevere and a coin over your shoulder at the Trevi Fountain. Its covers include two takes on the Colosseum, an Aperol spritz, and sunglasses beside an espresso for the trip that was mostly cafés.

Venice
5 covers
Venice photographs itself: washing lines over a canal, the light on the Grand Canal from the Accademia bridge, a vaporetto to Murano and Burano. Its covers go beyond the gondola, with Santa Maria della Salute and two pairs of glass cherries that nod to the island's glassmakers.
All Venice photo books
Florence
Coral Duomo
Florence is the climb up Brunelleschi's dome, the view back from Piazzale Michelangelo and a sandwich eaten standing up near the market. Its cover draws the cathedral and Giotto's bell tower in fine detail.

Tuscany
Olives, wine & vineyard
A Tuscan stay is cypress-lined roads, a farmhouse pool and a long table at a winery in Chianti or the Val d'Orcia. The Tuscany cover gathers all of it: olives, wine, oranges and a hilltop house above the vines.

Pisa
2 covers
Pisa is often a morning on the way to somewhere else, and everyone comes home with the same pose holding up the tower. Its covers take it seriously: one stylised between cypresses, one drawn stone by stone.

Milan
2 covers
Milan means the rooftop terraces of the Duomo, the Galleria and an evening along the Navigli canals. Pick the cathedral itself, or the pink heel if the shopping bags made it into half your pictures.

Lake Como
2 covers
Lake Como trips are slow: ferries between Bellagio, Varenna and Menaggio, gardens running down to the water, a drink as the hills turn blue. The villa and the green spritz suit a book full of shoreline and boat decks.

Amalfi Coast and Positano
2 covers
The coast road from Sorrento, the stacked pastel houses of Positano, limoncello in Amalfi and the gardens at Ravello. The lemons cover and the lemon-scarf martini, in three colours, both belong here.

Capri
2 covers
A boat round the Faraglioni, the chairlift up Monte Solaro and a long lunch at a beach club. Capri has a striped umbrella and deckchair, and a dog in a silk headscarf that says exactly what kind of day it was.

Sicily
2 covers
Sicily mixes Palermo's markets, Greek temples, Etna and the ceramics shops of Caltagirone. The majolica vase of lemons and the blood orange spritz both fit a slower island trip.
Italy photo book ideas
Most Italy trips follow a route: a few days in Rome, the train north to Florence and Venice, then the lakes or the coast. Here is how to turn that route into a book that reads like the trip, with a drawn cover for every stop.
Build it chapter by chapter
Follow the route you took and let each stop be its own chapter. Turn on day pages and every day opens with a page you can title, so the book reads in the order you lived it.
Rome and the Vatican
The Colosseum and the Forum in late afternoon light, the Trevi Fountain early before the crowds, the view from St Peter's dome, and a long dinner in Trastevere.

Florence and Tuscany
The Duomo from Piazzale Michelangelo at sunset, the Ponte Vecchio, then cypress roads in the Val d'Orcia, a Chianti tasting and the towers of San Gimignano and Siena.

Cinque Terre
Coloured houses stacked above the harbour at Vernazza and Manarola, the coastal path between villages, and focaccia eaten on the rocks.
Venice and the islands
Gondolas and washing lines over quiet canals, the Grand Canal from the Accademia bridge, Piazza San Marco early in the morning, and the painted houses of Burano.

Lake Como and Milan
Ferries between Bellagio and Varenna, gardens running down to the water, aperitivo as the hills turn blue, and the rooftop of Milan's Duomo.

Amalfi Coast and Capri
Positano from the water, lemon groves above Amalfi, the gardens of Ravello, a boat round Capri's Faraglioni, and a day trip to Pompeii.

Sicily
Palermo's markets, the temples at Agrigento, Etna on the horizon from Taormina, and the ceramics shops of Caltagirone.

How to make your Italy photo book
Make it here on the web or in the TripMemo app on iPhone. Your book is saved as you go.
Start your Italy bookChoose a cover
Pick one of the 30 Italy covers, change its title, or put your own photo on the front.
Add your photos
They’re laid out for you, page by page. The TripMemo app also sorts your trip by day and place. Then move, crop and caption anything.
Check it and order
See every page as it will print and download a proof. It’s printed when you order and sent tracked, in about 5 to 8 working days in the UK.
Make it yours
The cover prints the place in large letters with the year beneath, and both are yours to change: put ITALY on a Rome drawing, or write the name of the villa you rented. Inside, switch on a route map so the book opens with a title page showing where you went, then let day pages mark each move from city to city. Add captions for the names of restaurants you swore you would remember, and longer notes for the day the train strike changed everything.

Hardcover, softcover or layflat
The same Italy cover on all three books. Choose the one that suits your trip.

Italy photo book questions
Can I put several Italian cities in one photo book?
Yes. Most Italy books cover a whole itinerary. Turn on day pages and each day opens with a page you can title, so Rome, Florence and Venice read as chapters. The cover can say Italy or the city that mattered most.
Is there a cover for the Amalfi Coast?
Yes. There is a lemons and blossom cover titled Amalfi, and a lemon martini with a lemon-print scarf for Positano in magenta, yellow and orange. Capri has its own covers too, with a striped deckchair and a dog in a headscarf.
Which cover suits a Lake Como trip?
The Lake Como villa shows a yellow house with cypresses reflected in the water, and the Lake Como spritz shows a green drink with mint and lime. Both read LAKE COMO on the cover, and you can change the title if you stayed somewhere specific.
I only went to Italy for a weekend. Is that enough for a book?
Often, yes. A city break of a few days fits well in a compact softcover or a square book, with one or two photos per page so each picture has room.
Can I make my Italy photo book on my phone?
Yes. Make it on the web here or in the TripMemo app on iPhone. The app sorts your trip photos by day and place, which helps when the trip covered several cities.
Is this a published photography book about Italy?
No. TripMemo prints your own Italy photo book from the photos you took, with your captions and a cover drawn for the places you went. If you want a published coffee table book of Italian photography, that is a different product from a bookshop.
Can I use my own photo on the cover instead?
Yes. Choose a photo-led cover style instead of an illustration and put your favourite picture from the trip on the front.
How much does an Italy photo book cost?
An Italy photo book starts at £26.49 for a softcover, £28.49 for a hardcover and £41.99 for a layflat, before delivery. The price grows with the pages you add, and you see the exact total, with delivery to your address, before you pay. UK orders usually arrive in 5 to 8 working days, and we ship worldwide.
How many photos do I need for an Italy photo book?
A short break usually gives 60 to 120 photos worth printing, which fill 24 to 40 pages. A week gives 150 to 250 photos for 40 to 80 pages, and two weeks or more 250 to 400 photos for 80 to 150 pages. Your photos are laid out for you, two to a page by default, and you can change it to one to four.
