Make a photo book of your France trip
- 13 illustrated covers drawn for France
- 4 places on the covers
- Hardcover, softcover or layflat, in three sizes
- Made on the web or in the app, printed when you order
France trips come in two moods. There is Paris: a long weekend of museums, bakeries and walking until your feet give up. And there is the south: a week by the sea in Nice or Cannes, with a rosé that tastes better than it should. The covers here are drawn for both.
Paris has the most, from two Eiffel Towers to a pair of poodles, love locks and champagne coupes. The Riviera has a striped beach umbrella and a pair of film-star sunglasses. For a trip that covered more of the country, there are French classics: macarons, a croissant, a glass of red with a striped napkin, and a ribboned heart.

Where in France?
The cities, coasts and corners the France covers are drawn for. Pick the place your trip was about, or keep the whole country on the front.

Paris
7 covers
Paris is easy to photograph and hard to edit. The Eiffel Tower sparkling on the hour, the Louvre pyramid, rooftops from the steps of Sacré-Cœur, the bookstalls by the Seine and every café terrace you sat on. A book lets the small things in too: a snap of the bistro menu, the shop where you bought the scarf.
The Paris covers suit different trips. The Eiffel Tower in pink or gold suits a first visit. The love locks, heart-shaped cherries and champagne coupes are made for honeymoons and anniversaries. The two poodles are for the trip that was mostly fun.
All Paris photo books
Nice
Beach umbrella
Nice is the Promenade des Anglais, the flower market in the old town, the climb up Castle Hill for the view over the Baie des Anges, and day trips to Èze, Villefranche or Monaco. The blue and white umbrella is drawn for exactly that kind of week, when most photos are sea, sky and a towel on the pebbles.

Cannes
Sunglasses & scarf
Cannes is the Croisette, the old port and the winding lanes of Le Suquet, with the Lérins islands a short boat ride away. In May the film festival fills the town; the rest of the year it is beaches and yachts. Its cover shows oversized sunglasses with palms caught in the lenses and a silk scarf trailing beside them.
France photo book ideas
France trips usually start with Paris off the Eurostar, or with a ferry and a long drive south to a gîte, a campsite or the Côte d'Azur. Here is how to shape the route into a book, from the first croissant to the last swim.
Build it chapter by chapter
Follow the route you took and let each stop be its own chapter. Turn on day pages and every day opens with a page you can title, so the book reads in the order you lived it.
Paris and Versailles
The Eiffel Tower from the Trocadéro as it sparkles on the hour after dark, the Louvre pyramid, the steps of Montmartre, a café terrace breakfast and the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles.

Normandy and Brittany
Mont-Saint-Michel at high tide, the cliffs at Étretat, the harbour at Honfleur, the D-Day beaches and the ramparts of Saint-Malo.
The Loire Valley
Chenonceau arching over the river Cher, the rooftops of Chambord, and a bike ride between châteaux and vineyards.
Bordeaux and the Dordogne
The Miroir d'Eau in Bordeaux, the vineyards of Saint-Émilion, Sarlat's market, and canoes on the Dordogne beneath the castle at Beynac.
Provence
Lavender in bloom from late June to mid July around Valensole and the Abbaye de Sénanque, the hilltop village of Gordes, and the Palais des Papes in Avignon.
Cannes
Palms along the Croisette, the old port from the lanes of Le Suquet, and a boat to the Lérins islands.

Nice, Èze and Monaco
The blue chairs on the Promenade des Anglais, the flower market on Cours Saleya, the view from Castle Hill over the Baie des Anges, and the coast from the gardens at Èze.

The little things
The landmarks take care of themselves. These are the photos you’ll be glad you took.
- A croissant and a café crème
- Blue enamel street signs
- Bistro chairs on a terrace
- A box from the patisserie
- The cheese counter at the market
- Shutters and window boxes
- Your Eurostar ticket
- Rosé on a sunny terrace

Make it yours
Romantic trips deserve words as well as pictures. Write the date of the proposal under the cover title, add captions naming the restaurant where it happened, and use notes for the things only the two of you will understand. Day pages can carry a short heading of your own, so a Paris and Nice honeymoon reads as two halves of one story.
A slim softcover suits a three-night city break. A hardcover or layflat makes more sense for a longer trip, or a book you want to keep on the coffee table for years.

France photo book questions
Which cover suits a Paris honeymoon or anniversary?
The love locks, the heart-shaped cherries and the clinking champagne coupes were drawn with couples in mind. The ribboned heart works for a romantic trip that went beyond Paris.
Is there an Eiffel Tower cover?
Yes. One shows the tower in soft blush tones on pink, with a peach version too. The other is a golden tower against a blue sky.
Do you have covers for the South of France?
Yes. Nice has a striped beach umbrella and Cannes has sunglasses and a silk scarf. For a wider trip along the coast, a France cover with macarons or a croissant works well, and you can retitle it Côte d'Azur.
Can Paris and the Riviera go in the same book?
Yes. Put the whole trip in one book and turn on day pages to mark where each part begins. The cover can name either city, or France.
Can I make my France photo book in the app?
Yes. Make it on the web here or in the TripMemo app on iPhone. The app sorts the photos from your trip by day and place.
Is there a cover for Provence, Normandy or the Dordogne?
There is no cover named for them, so choose one of the France designs, such as the croissant with a glass of red, the macarons or the ribboned heart, and change the cover title to the region or the village where you stayed. The illustration stays the same.
Can I put my own photo on the cover instead?
Yes. Switch from Illustrated to a photo style such as Image or Editorial, and the tower at night or a café table in the Marais can go on the front.
How much does a France photo book cost?
A France photo book starts at £26.49 for a softcover, £28.49 for a hardcover and £41.99 for a layflat, before delivery. The price grows with the pages you add, and you see the exact total, with delivery to your address, before you pay. UK orders usually arrive in 5 to 8 working days, and we ship worldwide.
How many photos do I need for a France photo book?
A short break usually gives 60 to 120 photos worth printing, which fill 24 to 40 pages. A week gives 150 to 250 photos for 40 to 80 pages, and two weeks or more 250 to 400 photos for 80 to 150 pages. Your photos are laid out for you, two to a page by default, and you can change it to one to four.
